Small Golf Simulators For Compact Spaces
You do not need a dedicated golf studio or large extension to enjoy golf at home....
Make the Most of the Space You Have
Many golfers assume they need a large room to install a simulator.
In reality, careful planning can unlock opportunities in spaces that might otherwise be overlooked. The key is understanding how room dimensions, ceiling height, player positioning and equipment selection work together.
Our team help clients identify the most suitable solution for their property. Whether you are working with a compact garage, a spare bedroom or an underused area of the home, we can help create a setup that works comfortably within the available space.
Why Choose a Small Golf Simulator?
Designed for Compact Spaces
Not every property has room for a dedicated golf suite.
Small golf simulators are designed to work efficiently within more limited environments while still providing an enjoyable and realistic experience. By selecting the right configuration, many homeowners can create a simulator setup without major building work or extensive room alterations.
This makes golf more accessible while helping you make better use of existing space.
Practise More Often
Convenience is one of the biggest advantages of a home simulator.
When a golf simulator is located within your property, it becomes much easier to fit practice into everyday life. Short sessions can be just as valuable as longer practice routines, particularly when consistency is the goal.
Having immediate access to a simulator encourages more regular use and helps keep golf part of your routine throughout the year.
Flexible Room Options
Small golf simulators can be incorporated into a variety of environments.
Many homeowners choose to install simulators within garages, spare rooms, basements or multi-purpose leisure areas. With the right planning, these spaces can comfortably accommodate a simulator while continuing to serve other functions when needed.
This flexibility allows homeowners to enjoy golf without sacrificing valuable living space.
Tailored Around Your Home
Every room presents different opportunities.
Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach, we assess the dimensions and layout of each space before recommending a solution. This helps ensure the simulator feels comfortable to use while delivering the best possible experience within the available area.
The result is a setup designed specifically around your home and how you intend to use it.

Small Golf Simulator Solutions
Spare Bedrooms
A spare bedroom can often provide more potential than homeowners initially realise.
With careful planning and the right simulator configuration, these rooms can become highly effective practice environments without requiring major alterations to the property. By considering factors such as ceiling height, room width and player positioning, it is possible to create a comfortable setup that supports regular use.
Many homeowners choose to convert underused guest rooms into dedicated golf spaces, allowing them to enjoy practice sessions from the comfort of home while making better use of available square footage. The result is a practical and enjoyable golf environment that fits naturally into everyday life.
Garage Installations
Garages remain one of the most popular locations for small golf simulators due to their flexibility and accessibility.
Whether attached to the home or located separately, garages often provide the space needed to create a dedicated golf setup while keeping it separate from the main living areas. This makes them ideal for golfers who want a convenient place to practise without disrupting the rest of the household.
With the right planning, a garage can be transformed into a comfortable golf environment that balances performance, practicality and ease of use. Many clients find that a garage conversion offers one of the most efficient ways to introduce a golf simulator into their property.
Multi-Use Rooms
Not every homeowner wants to dedicate an entire room exclusively to golf.
Multi-purpose spaces allow you to enjoy the benefits of a golf simulator while retaining the flexibility to use the room for other activities. Home offices, entertainment rooms, leisure spaces and family rooms can often be adapted to accommodate a compact simulator setup without compromising their primary function.
This approach is particularly popular in modern homes where versatility is important. By carefully selecting equipment and planning the layout, it is possible to create a room that works equally well for golf, relaxation and everyday living.
Optimised Room Layouts
The success of a small golf simulator is often determined by how efficiently the available space is used.
A well-planned layout helps maximise comfort, improve usability and create a safer playing environment. Our team carefully considers factors such as swing clearance, screen positioning, equipment placement and player movement to ensure every setup feels natural and intuitive.
Even relatively compact rooms can deliver an excellent experience when properly planned. By optimising the layout around the dimensions of the space, we help homeowners achieve the best possible performance without needing a large dedicated golf room.

The ideal room size depends on the golfer's height, swing style and the technology being used. As a general guide, we recommend a minimum ceiling height of 2.9m, room width of 3.5m and room depth of 5.5m. Larger rooms provide a more comfortable experience and allow for greater flexibility when selecting launch monitor technology. An ideal room would measure 4.8m wide x 3m high x 6m deep.

There is no single best solution. The right technology depends on your goals, budget and available space. We work with leading brands including Trackman, Uneekor, TruGolf, GolfJoy and K-Golf to ensure we can recommend the most suitable solution.
Different launch monitors excel in different areas. Some prioritise simulation accuracy, some offer advanced club data, while others provide exceptional value for money. Offering multiple brands allows us to recommend the right solution rather than forcing clients into a single ecosystem. However, we don’t work with every brand on the market, only with those we strongly believe offer the best solutions for each client.
Trackman is widely regarded as one of the most accurate and trusted launch monitors in the world. It is used extensively by professional golfers, coaches and club fitters. However, depending on your needs, other technologies may offer advantages in specific situations. In many cases Trackman offers our clients the best possible solution for their project.
Trackman uses sophisticated dual-radar technology and provides highly detailed ball flight and club data. It is trusted by many of the world's leading golf professionals and coaching facilities. Trackman IO now also offers a Home package that has a reduced number of golf courses and slightly limited functionality which makes its price point more comparable to other available brands.
Trackman primarily uses radar technology, while Uneekor uses high-speed camera systems. Both provide excellent performance, but the best choice often depends on room dimensions, intended use, software preferences and budget.
Many modern systems accommodate both left and right-handed golfers. We can recommend the most suitable options depending on how frequently both player types will use the simulator. More important is the space that is available for the golf simulator as this will determine which left and right-handed options can be used.
